Ms. Coyle

Hello, my name is...

Ms. Coyle

Here are a few facts about me.

  • I graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, with a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Teaching.
  • Middle school grades are the best grades to teach, in my humble opinion.
  • Like any book nerd, picking a favorite book is difficult. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness and A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving are two of my favorites.
  • I have lived in Virginia for most of my life, except for the two and a half years spent in the country of the Philippines.
  • I decided to teach English because reading and writing are two of the most important skills a young person can have in the modern world. Students will need to create resumes, read contracts, communicate with colleagues and customers in the business world, and move up in the world - no matter which profession they choose!

Getting Text or Email Notices from Remind

Remind is a secure and easy way for teachers, parents or guardians, and students to communicate about important information and questions.

Teachers can send information about homework, class schedules, and learning materials to parents and students.

Students can send teachers questions and work on group projects with classmates, and parents or guardians can monitor conversations as needed.

Parents or guardians can communicate with teachers about important questions and information.

Parents or guardians and students can use their phones to communicate with an easy sign-up process.

Teachers, students, and parents or guardians will never be sharing their actual phone numbers with each other, and all conversations are easily accessible and saved.
